We strive to assist parents by providing a safe, healthy, loving,
and welcoming environment for young children,
and by teaching biblical truth in creative, age-appropriate ways.

We believe that children can truly worship the Lord. We encourage parents to participate in worship wholeheartedly and to train their children to do the same. Excellent resources about children and worship are available on the conference table outside the fellowship hall. Children in the Crocodiles class go to worship with their parents. Younger children are also welcome or they may stay in their rooms to play. Parents are asked to be considerate of others by promptly taking crying or distracting children out of the sanctuary. A “cry room” is available at the top and to the right of the grand staircase outside of the sanctuary.

If you are not sure where your child’s room is, we will be glad to help you; come to the Early Childhood Office, room 103.
Security:
For your protection and ours, we use a security system. All parents (visitors and Covenant members) will be given a security keychain when dropping off children in their designated room. Parents must show the security tag to the caregiver to pick up each child. Please do not ask caregivers to accept or release children without using the security system.

Curriculum:
We use Great Commission Publications' "Show Me Jesus" for Sunday School. At each age level, it surveys the Bible from a Reformed perspective.
We use GCP’s "Kids’ Quest" to teach the children’s catechism on Wednesday nights during Discovery Club.
We learn a Bible verse or a Bible story that corresponds with each letter of the alphabet on Tuesdays during WIC.
Courts of Praise:
During each of our regular ministry events, children in Preschool classes gather in the “Courts of Praise” (room 104) to sing and review memory work. Puppets and skits are often a part of this lively teaching time.
Staff:
We staff our early childhood ministries with a combination of paid caregivers and church member volunteers. All teachers are Covenant members.
08/02/2010 -
We ask all members of our church family to help care for our Covenant children on Sunday mornings, once or twice a year. We go through an alphabetical schedule, which is published monthly. Heart Warmers assist our Sunday School teachers and paid caregivers. This is one way for us to live out the vow we take at every infant baptism and show practical love for one another.

Please be considerate of others and do not bring children who have had any of these symptoms in the last 24 hours: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose (other than clear), contagious rash or eye infection. If your child becomes ill while in our care, we will page you immediately.
If your child is taking antibiotics, he or she should take them for 24 hours before coming to class or childcare.
