The Diaconate of Covenant Presbyterian Church exists to express in practical ways Christ’s command to all believers to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Our purpose is to lead the way in service as we seek to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of those in our congregation and in the community.
Our duties include ministering to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress; developing the grace of liberality in the members of the church, devising effective methods of collecting the gifts of the people, and distributing these gifts among the objects to which they are contributed; caring for the property of the congregation, both real and personal, and keeping in proper repair the church edifice and other buildings belonging to the congregation.
