Around 50 A.D., Paul and his fellow missionaries visited Thessalonica, only to have to leave under cover due to opposition to their message. Yet, Paul’s heart was turned towards the young church there, and from Corinth he writes his first letter to them, expressing with authenticity his heart towards them. His message? Remember the Gospel! Christ is coming again and that means we should rejoice and live expectantly, and in light of that reality.
Join us this fall for our Women In the Church Bible study as we look at Paul’s two letters to this church, in 1 & 2 Thessalonians. To sign up, please call Janice Kirkpatrick at 383-2206 ext. 200 or janicek@covenantpres.com
Our study will begin the day after Labor Day (more details to come!). The format includes a morning of small group meetings beginning at 9:30 a.m. (please come at 9:15 a.m for coffee and fellowship as groups will start promptly at 9:30!), followed by a large group lecture, with a nursery provided. Please note the program order change from last year.
Also this year, if you have been in the young moms group for at least 2 years, we would ask that you please join a mixed group in order to make room for new moms to join the group, and so that you can benefit from the wisdom of older women in the mixed groups.
The evening study begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Youth Room downstairs, and there is no nursery.
