Exploring Covenant
Are you interested in learning more about who we are and what we believe? Would you like to move forward in the membership process?
Whether you are new or have been attending Covenant for years, you are invited to discover more about our church’s distinctives and how to become a member. While this is class is a part of our membership process, all are welcome to attend. Lunch and childcare are provided for our full-day classes.

Do I need to attend both days?
Yes, this class does take place over the course of two days!
Do my children attend with me?
If your child is between 0-5th grade, we encourage you to put them in childcare during the class.
For children who are not yet communing (they have NOT made a profession of faith and do not receive communion in worship services) between 5-6th grade, we have a Children’s Profession of Faith class that happens in the spring. For any questions about this class, please reach out to Betsy Breegle. If your child is already communing as a 5-6th grader (they have made a profession of faith in a church and do receive communion in worship services), we encourage you to bring them to this class and include them in your RSVP!
When can I drop off my kids?
Drop-off for kiddos begins at 8:45a on Saturday at the nursery entrance.
What are the steps to becoming a member of Covenant?
- Attend an Exploring Covenant class
- Meet with an Elder
- Be Introduced to the Congregation
Why do we need to meet with an elder?
Meeting with an elder gives you an opportunity to discuss any questions you may have about membership, discuss your faith journey and your commitment to Christianity, and to affirm the membership vows. After this meeting, this elder will recommend you to the Session for membership.
What if I can’t attend the introduction date?
No worries! Your official membership start date does not depend on the Introduction Date, but rather the date of the Session meeting your name is approved in. Your name will still be recognized as a new member in the service you most often attend.
