Stewardship Month
Covenant’s mission is to make disciples by presenting Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit so that all may come to know Him as Savior and follow Him as Lord in the fellowship of His Church (Matthew 28:18-20). As Covenant fulfills her mission of making disciples, the disciples then take their place in the ministry and mission of the church so that the church continues to mature and expand (Ephesians 4:12-13).
Each disciple of Jesus is uniquely gifted to serve in Christ’s church. How they use those gifts is called "stewardship." Stewardship is the disciple’s responsibility to manage their life (talent, time, and treasure) with proper regard for God and others. It answers, “How do I believe God has uniquely called and gifted me to carry on Christ’s work of reconciliation in the world?”
Talent
Believers use talents (spiritual gifts) for the church's well-being and her mission (1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4). There are multiple ways to use your gifts at Covenant and in Nashville (or the extended community), from Sunday school teachers to greeters, ushers, small group leaders, or local missions. Time
Time is the most precious gift we can give. Consider how your time could be used for others. Commit to worship and Sunday school. Spend time with a hurting friend, participate in a short-term mission trip, or deliver a meal to a family in need. The possibilities are endless!
Treasure
